Life Horse was founded in April 2001 and was based on an article found in Horse Illustrated about a Life Horse program at Covenant Farm in Maryland.

Life Horse is a Gold Star Horses 4 Heroes facility.  

LifeHorse is a specially designed horseback riding program that focuses on teaching children and adults to ride and be around horses. We offer four (4) different programs:

Horses4Heroes: Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Fighters/EMTs, School Teachers and Health Care Professionals.

LifeHorse: Special needs children and adults

Purple Spurs: Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and stroke patients

Horse Powered Reading® and Horse Powered Math®: Helping student who need extra help in these areas with the use of their horse partner.
